New Wheels - Comments Before i Buy

I am looking to put a bit of life back into my old 08 Rockhopper, so im planning on replacing the standard heavy wheels that it came with.

i have very little idea when it comes to the right spec, i use my bike for trail riding in the lake district and do the occasional trailquest.

    i had a similar set on a couple of bikes before but using the xm819 rims, they came in at 1900g so your should be around 1800g which is a nic solid but manageable weight.

    most people sem to be preffering stans rims these days as they tend to be wider so make larger tyres more stable. i dont really know much about them to be fair though.

    its hard to buy bad bike gear these days!
  • The Revs are a lightweight race spoke. I'd go for Comps personally, better matched to your strong rim.
