I'm having a bit of a problem sourcing a new bottom bracket for my Boardman Comp. It's specced to have a Truvative GXP external bb. I found an english threaded one online and ordered it but (after 2 weeks  ) got a phone call saying they were no longer in stock and to try Chain Reaction. On CRC website the only Truvative GXP bb is ceramic and too expensive.
So is the Sram GXP on their site a compatible item. I think that Sram owns Truvative now?

I'd appreciate some guidance.

That's what I did last time and 3 weeks later I'm still without one. I wanted to use a store I had some faith in.

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and not tarnish their reputation.

  • I've got one, brand new and unused, that came with a Truative Stylo 1.1 crankset, sat on my desk at work if you want it for a fiver and the cost of postage.

I don't need it as the frame is getting a Forward Components EBB.
