Replacing chainring, should I replace KMC chain to?

Hi Guy's,
Suffering from sever chain suck when in the granny rings, to an extent that I couldn't use the 22T front gear at all today which killed my legs as I had no option than do a long run in Swinley forest in the 32T, which was faultless but my legs are killing!
Stripped the rear of the bike and dismantled the chain set (not got a crank puller so unable to get cranks off as yet). It appears that the 22 and 32T rings are chewed a little which is no surprise as Swinley is mainly sand and mud and has been for some time. As the chain rings are 7075 aluminum I understand that they would wear pretty quick, however I have only been using them for a little over 6 months and would expect the rings to last a little longer.
I recently put a KMC 9L SL chain on which is cool and runs well, my question is should I change the chain when adding the new rings?
I have checked for wear and it is still a long way in tolerance. There is no visual sign of wear all of the Ti plating is still on and I clean the chain after every ride (and re-oil with a good oil).
So what should I do?
I did buy a new rear Sram rear mech which was in the sales, a better one that's on the bike at the moment, however wanted to save it till the other one worn out a little, is still like new.
Any assistance or comments will help a lot

Chain should be fine if it's quite new.I don't do smileys.

Just to check, you're not putting too much oil on are you (especially wet oil)?
But sounds like the chain should be fine. I find it's the cassette and chain that need to match up for wear. I've replaced chainrings with a semi worn chain and not noticed any difference (the hope was it might fix shifting issues but didn't).
But anyway... no need for granny ring in Swinley :P (well, you might have to push up a couple of bits).0 -
I changed my chainrings a few times and not had any problems with my old chain. (KMC X10SL and a SRAM PC1090R). Shouldn't be a problem especially seeing that your chain isn't that old and that you have been taking care of it.
My rule of thumb is, if you change the cassette, you should replace your chain for a new one.Vodka anyone? "Honk"
