Anyone have any sort of experience with modern Ciocc bikes i understand they were popular bikes amongst the pro peloton in the 80's

All the reviews I've seen have been favourable.

Racescene in Barnsley are dealers - beware that some of their frames are simply repainted generic frames from China, so perhaps not worth the price premium. They had a good reputation in the 80's, being considered one of the best alongside Tomassini, Colnago, Pinarello, DeRosa, Milani and the like. They also built / race-prepped bikes for the likes of Mercatone Uno and Saeco
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
