MTB trails in the lake district
Im going to the lake district in april on holiday and was wondering if there were any good mtb trails round there...
If there are, which do you reccomend?
Thanks
(Im looking for singletrack red and black route type trails similar to cannock, llandegla etc)

Whinlatter is great up near Keswick, was up there today... and there is plenty of natural stuff about too depending on where you're staying0

Whinlatter Altura trail and Grizedale North face trail.
But why go to a Mountainous NP and ride trail centres?0 -
Can't believe someone who's into mountain bikeing has asked that question.should of used giantorangecannon0

I live there and I ride both, Natural stuff is completely different to trail centres but is just as good. Whinlatter is completely different to riding in the rest of the lakes though...0

There are several guide books with plenty of routes to choose from - there is a new guide out from Cicerone this week too:

Spend one day at Whinlatter, do both reds and the blue (is fun)
Other days get a guide book and do natural trails as mentioned.
You'll enjoy the variety much more and there are so many great trails, the list is (almost) endless.0
