Hi, I'm in need of a new set of pads for my hope tech X2's.

Can anyone recommend a set to me that wont squeal when wet?

Not only is it annoying but people can hear when im being a chicken and braking on the downhills

Cheers.

Superstar, sintered or organic.I personally prefer sintered(Tech M4s) but IF we have a dry summer I'll probably use organic.
  • or there's the kevlar compound, a more 'organic feel' with wear rate similair to sintered.

    That's better 8)
Kevlar pads-wet gritty trails=2 rides and destruction.Even Superstar themselves recommend you don't use them if you ride anywhere with gritty trails like the Peak District.

That's very true but I was merely pointing out that Kevlar pads don't wear like Sintered in certain conditions :)
Looking at the OPs sig he's from Cumbria and I certainly wouldn't recommend Kevlar pads for Cumbria/ the Lakes either. I do a fair amount of riding there myself and would recommend Sintered as it gets it's fair share of rain and Kevlar pads are crap in wet conditions.
  • Good advice, for most other areas of the country then Kevlar would be a good choice

Thats right im out most weekends, its pretty much always wet and muddy so going to go for the superstar sintered and only £22.99 for all 4 pads.

    Cheers for the help.
