AAAAAAAAAAARRGGGGHHHHH

Is pretty much what I said when Mr IDon'tLookWhereI'mGoing drove into me tonight.

He pulled out of the road here where the blue Focus is appearing from. Unfortunately I was riding past at the time.....

I nailed the front of the car and then went over the bonnet, leaving the bike to it's own devices against the driver's door.

The main thing is, I'm alive. :D In a little pain, but you should have seen the other guy*......

He was fine actually.

hmm, sounds to me like you were in the wrong hole last night.

Well maybe I was, but I don't see what that's got to do with anything!

And kev, yeah, cheers, i'm ok, just a bit sore (see above)

It was on the carbon bike, so I don't know what the 'rules' are for replacing them after a crash.

the rules are that you have to replace it, with a metal bike as you cant be trusted to behave correctly on a carbon one.

Even if it's only got one gear?

I was obviously going so fast that I'd ripped a hole through time itself, and appeared right in front of him!

Okay, but should I put flats or SPDs on the replacement?

none, you wont need a chain either, use pure smugness and your sense of self appreciation to propell yourself along.

He should get himself one of these, so he can fu** himself whilst being propelled by his own sense of smug.
Obviously, the drivetrain is not needed.

agreed. roadies think they own the place, they should start paying road tax if they want some rights on the road.

I was out on my road bike earlier. I made a point of gesturing to every driver until they opened their window, then asked them what their intentions were for the next mile, so that I could ensure I wasn't in their way. I find it to be the only way to be safe, and I'm sure they appreciated my courtesy.

What they should have been asking you is why were you even on the road in the first place and promptly ran you over as they drove by.

No no no, they should be on the road, but drivers should be encouraged to run them over... maybe car tax reductions as incentives.
