Finding out max fork length

I'm thinking of getting longer travel forks for my bike, at the moment it runs 100mm Toras.
I'm thinking of 120mm dual air forks.
The bike has a low bottom bracket height so it could possibly do with being a bit higher, the rear travel is 130mm with an air shock.
How do you find out the max height without putting on longer forks and seeing which set don't rip the headtube off or make the bike handle like a wheelbarrow with a flat tyre?
any info would be brill

Depending on the year of those Tora's you can remove the all travel spacer and get them up to 120 or 130mm. That does not mean that the frame is strong enough to take the additional leverage and the only way to know for sure is to contact the manufacturer to find out the maximum recomended travel for the frame. Time to try out your Franglais?0

Ohh heck..I'd better see if I can find the email address for the place that sells them, this could be fun as I flunked French at school lol.

Ohh diable .. je ferais mieux de voir si je peux trouver l'adresse e-mail pour le lieu qui les vend, cela pourrait être amusant comme je l'ai raté français à l'école lol.

worked perfectly for me when I booked a holiday recently plus they like it if you have a go at their native tongue0 -

your frame looks pretty heavily reinforced around the headstock, i would think an extra 20mm will be ok, but if you can get an answer from the frame builder it may be worth finding out.
i just added an extra 30mm travel but it didnt make any difference to the geometry as the crown to axle length was the same so it may also be worth measuring that too?0
