I recently bought a pair of grimeca bassano 5 spoke mag wheels for a retro type single speed bike I'm building and once the rear cassette was removed, I discovered that the rear hub wasn't the normal shimano/sram types that I'm used to but some kind of thread on freewheel, the ratchet mechanism of which is incorporated on the cassette itself. Now that the cassette is removed, I need to know how to replace it with a single speed cassette. I think that I can use a BMX single speed freewheel cassette which will screw in place of the lockring that held the original cassette on but I'm not sure. Any help greatly appreciated !!

Ideally you need a very rare adapter to space out you freewheel (as you cant re-dish the wheel). but yes the thread is the same (none micro drive).
