Anyone got an Adventurer 3500 GPS ?

I already have Memory Map on my PC and I print out maps to take with me. I would like a GPS to allow me to go where I please without preplanning needed and without needing to stop to check the map.

With middel aged eyesight I have to use reading glasses these days - this would be a pain on the bike to have to keep stopping to put them on etc so I get round that by printing the maps out 150% in size.

Does anyone have the 3500 GPS on their bike and can advise if its easily readable whilst on the move? I believe you can magnify the display.

    I've got one.
The screen size is quite good and you can zoom in. I can usually follow it whilst cycling though I still manage to take wrong turns - I just realise I've done so quicker. Might be worth checking one out at Evans or Cotswolds for screen visibility for your eyes.
  • Might also be worth checking out the Memory Map forum as there would seem to be a lot of people with problems on this unit. I had the Adventurer 2800 but didn't get on with it and have switched to a Garmin Edge 800 which is great and is compatible with Memory Map.
  • Thanks chaps very much - sounds like it will be ok but best to check myself - its an hours drive to the nearest stockist. At over £300 I don't want an expensive white elephant on my bike!
