i was sure there was a 'most embarrassing moment' thread but I can't find it now?
Anyhoo, earlier today I swept majestically into the posh little town of Oundle, oh so pleased with myself that I'd pushed on and upped my previous averages for the 30 mile ride there by around 3mph (only to 19.7 I have to confess :oops: )
Striding into a coffee shop I stepped off the matting onto the wooden floor and promptly did a full comedy Bambi impression in slow motion, eventually landing on arse AND right elbow - ouch! Damn you SPDs
With hindsight I could probably have got a free coffee out of it, but being typically English did the "no, I'm fine" and "it's my shoes, not your floor" and "sorry, sorry" routine, gave the local pensioners something to chat about for 10 minutes anyway
