Olympic route - can anyone ride it?

Hi

I know the day before the tour de france the route is open for amatuers to cycle along, do you know if anything like this is planned for 2012?

    would be nice but i the complaining from disgruntled of surrey for having to ahve roads closed for 1 day will likely make it unfeasible for 2 days of closures.

    besides it will need to be resurfaced the day before , as Wandsworth and Tfl will still be arguing over putney bridge :lol:
