Avid Elixir 3 brakes - fixed banjo

I was looking at the review below and AngryAsian states the Avid Elixir 3 has fixed Banjos, and as a result may create routing headaches for the cable.
What is a Banjo on the brake?
I have Avid Juicy 3's and I can adjust the cable length, can you do that with the Elixir 3's?
I have read that also in a recent review i think in What Mountain Bike, that states the banjo isn't adjustable, I'd liek these as they'll be heaps better then my Juicy 3's with a much better specification, and has most of the gear of the high end gear from Avid.

a brake Banjo looks like one.
Elixirs dont have banjos."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
