OT - I wish to complain... again.

Listening to 5live (for the last time I might add, unless it's sport) last night, they embarked on the topic for the late evening phone in.
The subject was comments made on Dancing on Ice by a judge to a presenter. Basically a Judge had told said presenter their opinion didn't count and if it did, they would still be a judge (I guess they were last year).
Now whilst this may be pretty blunt I don't see any reason for anyone other than the ex judge to be offended. Apparently there had been 2000 complaints.
Why has it come to this that absolute non issues are provoking histeria? Who are these people who are complaining? Have people really nothing better to do? Why do we seem to want to find anything to complain about?
I don't know but this seems to be a recent phenomenon, stemming from the Jonathan Ross/Russel Brand incident.
Other incidents I can recall off the top of my head are:
Someone dancing provocatively on Xfactor,
MP claiming £3.40,
Vuvuzellas in the world cup,
Eastenders baby snatching story line.
All none issues (people seem not to understand how to turn a tv off if they don't like something) but have been heavily reported in the media.
Disgusted,
Tunbridge Wells

Isn't there a Dancing on Ice forum available to debate this travesty?0

Well now I've heard of Dancing on Ice for the first time, so it worked pretty well as a way of promoting the show to people who weren't previously exposed to it.0
