Morning chaperoonies
Been busy this week and got "head office" in today so i'll be mainly hiding and staying out of harms way.
Had a great ride last night, after i discovered why i had been suffering so much on sunday and the first part of last nights ride, the front caliper was binding. so sorted that out and hey presto, i'm flying once again.
2 days to go and then 2 weeks off and not much planned.
I need your help, where would be the best trail centre to visit thats not going to be a boggy mess and ok for a guy who's had all winter off? My mate and i have earmarked tuesday and wednesday so a B+B with a pub will also be needed0 -

Not going to lectures today because Hockey match is taking priority.
Today will go as follows: Play hockey, win, bus lash on the way back, then more beer and pizza with hockey team, then zoo bar, then hangover :roll:0 -

Do you ride bedgby or whatever the place is called when back in kent?
Whats the terrain like, is it just a forrest or a trail centre?0 -
Morning Gang, got to go for a half hour interview/coffee for a 2-month placement. Need this TBH but hate having interviews and bigging myself up and making small talk...VWsurfbum wrote:sheepsteeth

Its a bit of both, nothing too technical, a good days riding can be had there, I would class it as beginner to intermediate, there's nothing too challenging.0 -
i do ride there on the odd occassion, i really like it, it is mostly singletrack through a forest, nothing too steep though.
i always use the rear entrance (ooh!!) so dont know what the front of house is like so to speak as its about 8 quid to park and im too pikey for that!0 -

Some much better places to ride then Bedge if your down this way, Kings Wood In Challock is a nice one. Some good singletrack and a 2 stager climb which is a right leg burner !
Blean in Canterbury is good, Not much elevation change but that leads to peddling alot so equally as challenging, Some lovely twisting singletrack and some really flowy sections always please
And then probably the most hilly place round here is BBH in Maidstone, Some nice climbs and desents !
All with free pikey parking if your a big webster (is that still an acceptable word round these parts ?) like sheeps0 -
Good Morning Freaks!
Another day of playing with spreadsheets. My brain still hurts from yesterday's calculation-fest. Still, on the plus side, if I can get this to work, it will save lots of time and effort in the future.
Foot's slowly getting better, but still a way to go. Still need to take it easy though as I don't really want to prolong the time I can't ride for.
*looks at clock*
Is that the time?
Must go and top up my caffine levels...0 -
seeing as im in gillingham i keep meaning to join up a ride from where i work over to the direction of BBH. i might go for an explore this weekend.0

Try and incoperate the Lordswood lesiure centre woods in, Some lovely singletrack, But some right dodgy area's near it so flat out is the preferred speed, Click the link in my sig, They do a weekly night ride on a wednesday heading out of Lordswood for a few hours, Few of them ride the woods daily so know it inside out !0 -
Morning

Afternoon feckers.
Had a couple of easy hours at uni, went to pay my deposit on my house from July, now back at home. The female type creature I'm half-arsedly pursuing seems to be responding fairly nicely, I've not got a huge amount of work to go, everything's going well today.0 -

Bonus! All you have to do then is give her cleaning equipment and keep her there against her will!0

BAH! The whole world can just fuck off today.
If I go to 1 more bloody interview and get told afterwards that I “interviewed brilliantly” and “came across great” and that I was “technically very able for the role” or “could easily fit in with the company” but not get the job cos I “don’t quite come from the right industry” or “we’ve decided to tweak the role slightly” I’m going to fucking brain someone! If I was that great and you thought that much of me GIVE ME THE POXY JOB YOU TWUNT!
Where’s that big bar of chocolate………. *scoffs*
Oh, afternoon.
Is it time to go shout at some car drivers yet?"I ride to eat"0 -
Good Afternoon!
I got the results back for my last exam, got 74% which is a distinction, very happy and I'm going to celebrate tonight by going to see Black Swan.0 -
Today was a day of win!
Started the new job in Surrey today. :¬)
Great company, great package plus a good long term career opportunity. Even the company car was ready..
No offense to those who cannot find jobs because they "don't quite fit in" etc.. your day will come and you will work...0 -
Crap , busy day at work, my BulkPowders order on a 48hour didn't arrive as planned(tomorrow hopefully!), and the RP2 shock seems to be leaking on my 46. On the brightside though, wife is working all weekend, so a trip to the Marin is on the cards Saturday morning on the Scott, to start getting some miles in ready for Whinlatter in March.0
