So the routes official:

The course takes in the crater filled NKR, Putney Bridge and Priory Lane, is there any chance of the local authority fckwits repairing the roads in advance?

Haha, half of that is currently 'spray and pray' rough tarmac with loose stones all over the place.

You can see right through Putney Bridge, they'll have to tarmac most of that route.

But it's a nice course. Sprinters day.

That looks as if it heads down Portsmouth road heading into Kingston?

Should be some nice spots to get out and watch that, RP would be good for those within walking/cycling distance.

On second thoughts probably not, does anyone have a link to a G.maps version?

It looks like across Kingston Bridge, through the town centre up London Road and the bottom of Kingston Hill, left up to Kingston Gate

So they're bottling out of tackling either Broomfield Hill or Dark Hill. No stamina.

They've got a Box Hill challenge thrown in, why not a RP 3 lap challenge - whats an extra 21 miles

Surely they'll have to resurface a lot of that route? I've not ventured out into Surrey this year, but the roads were awful last year and I can't imagine they'll be any better after this winter. If they do get resurfaced then I'll finally agree that the Olympics coming to London is a good thing. :D

really pleased with that route. :D

Definitely going to have beers and picnic in richmond park to watch them outbound and inbound.

Not a day to be out in the car in south west london. Traffic chaos for sure.

    Riding:
    Canyon Nerve AL9.9 2014
    Honda CBR600f 2013
    Condor Fratello 2010
    Cervelo RS 2009
    Specialized Rockhopper Pro 2008
  • Going to have to extend the lease on my current flat, looks like the route goes right past my front door!

Are they going to single file them out on the cycle path.

No far more fun to watch them dodging the cracks and potholes with a pikey in a white pacing them screaming "get on the f*cking path"

Apparently there will be a "road race test event" following the same route in mid August this year.

Awesome! They're basically riding my route to and from work up from centre to Putney Bridge! Means I'll be getting some repaved roads sometime next year then :D
