Tentative return

I am on the cusp of returning to life on two wheels.

I have been in a bad bad way since my cycling was curtailed, I had a back operation that I struggled more to get over psychologically than physically and I am just shedding a blanket of fear about living the rest of my life.

The latest news is that I can bear to look at other people cycling and not feel sick. I would even go so far as to say that I even envy them their commute.

My commute will not be easy with increased hours and little people to mind more often, but I really really need to get out and enjoy my cycling life again.

That's it really

Great to hear! If you fancy a pootle some time in our mutual neck of the woods, do let me know. Prepping for my LeJOG at the end of May (an eight-dayer), so miles=good.

    Key phrase in bold.

I wouldn't worry too much about commuting just yet.

Take the kids for a pootle. Buy ice cream. Pootle back.

You have all winter for masochistic commuting misery.

Good Luck (and can in interest you in the SC Stats thread)

Thanks all. I need to take it easy for a while, and try to ease myself in gently but I would certainly be up for some adventures - if I ever needed to fill my diary with sunshine and light it was now.

I may start a thread re a NF ride in April. I'm free the first weekend at the moment.
