Cheapish Nokia - got it soaked on Saturday.

Have done this before - so took it apart, stuck it on the radiator for few hours and airing cupboard overnight last two nights.

All the condensation etc had disappeared from behind the screen, so I tried switching it on - start-up tone, all seemed right, but no display. Incoming messages alerts, all keypad sounds fine, etc etc - but the screen is totally blank.

Any ideas? Does it need drying out some more? Or can I assume it is totally knackered?

Ta.

Dry out some more, we used to put our older phones in the sauna when they'd ended up in the pool, they worked perfectly afterwards.

    New fancies phones don't though.

Let it dry out for ages and ages, in a very dry, warm place. Airing cupboards can be a terrible place if you've also got slightly damp clothes airing in there.
Drying it properly can sometimes take about a month. But you can speed it up by removing as much of the case as you can without damaging it, and wrapping it in those silica gell bags you get with shoes.
And hope that switching it on too early didn't damage the screen. Chances are it will be fine.

This, a friends iPhone got soaked (bottle of water opened in bag) and a boal of rice working. Screen was a little damaged but didn't affect graphics etc.
