Ok, having read a few posts relating to tyres and getting mixed results. I have a question.
I'm after a good set of summer tyres for a sportive or 2. looking at
Conti 4000
Schwalbe Ultremo R 1 orZX
Mich Pro race 3
I have run Conti sport contacts on my hibrids but found the sidewals perish easily, so a bit put off.
What would you recomend?
Bike is a Trek2.3
If rider weight is a factor, i'm 100kg heading for 88 ( i was 137)

Its a very personal thing, everyone has a favourite, and will recommend that.
I've used a few different ones, and, as a great allrounder, the Conti GP4000S ticks all the boxes for me.0 -
I'm using Conti Grand Prix 24mm folding tyres. Quick to get up to speed but marginally more comfy than the stock Conti Ultra Race's 23mm they replaced. Probably a placebo effect but they work for me and nothing in the way of punctures (until I wrote that anyway!) :?Titus Silk Road Ti rigid 29er - Scott Solace 10 disc - Kinesis Crosslight Pro6 disc - Scott CR1 SL - Pinnacle Arkose X 650b - Pinnacle Arkose singlespeed - Specialized Singlecross...& an Ernie Ball Musicman Stingray 4 string...0
