after a long search for the cheapest reba teams 2010 i found that ribble are selling them for £275.19 but they are out of stock, i sent them my email so that they could contact me when in stock but i have been waiting a while now and just wondered if its worth waiting any longer as they are 2010 forks they are popular and it seems the majority of forks on there website are also out of stock, should i just bite the bullet and buy them from merlin for £339.95 instead? ive never dealt with ribble before so i dont know what they are like tbh

Dont know if this really helps but I bought a set of Reba Teams from Merlin last year, they came wrapped up in bubble wrap and with no manual or shock pump. I phoned Merlin and asked them if they were OE forks and they said no but I was not convinced they were telling the truth.

Awesome forks but apparently the OE forks can't be increased to 120mm travel if that is what you want to do.

    Just something to consider.

2010 Reba £242 with the basket discount. Only difference between SL's and Team's is 30g, and external floodgate, which is pretty much set and forget anyway.

Only way with Rockshox forks is to open them up to check, as some OE forks (Giant is one, I think) can be extended.

AFAIK RS forks don't come with a shockpump, bit weird having no manual though.

The thing is Merlin sent me a set of SL's first by mistake, they came in a Rockshox bos with a pump and a manual!
  • thank you for the replies, i dont need 120mm travel 100mm is adequate for the bike i have, in reply to the sl instead of the team version i have seen a quote from a forum on here which says: Rockshox forks with SL in the name are OE forks & will generaly only carry a warranty from where you bought them & not from Rockshox.

As a general rule of thumb, anything with SL in the name has the outer legs from one range, but the guts from the lower range. In this case, its Reba upper/lower legs with Recon bits inside & no Poploc.

Its done to keep costs down for manufacturers whilst still looking like a bike has Reba's. There is also Tora SL (Dart internals), Recon SL (Tora internals) etc etc.

is this true? if it is i think i would prefer the team version as i would be getting better components and better warranty

Hold on, I'm comparing the Reba Race and teh Reba SL

Get the Team. It has the Blackbox damping, which is much better than the Motion Control on the Reba SL
