Problem with Boxxers

My 2007 Boxxer Teams are playing up.
Sometimes, but not all the time, the fork doesn't want to start moving on the flat or going uphill but only when I am off the brakes. As soon as I apply the brake it moves fine. It also seems fine when going downhill and once it gets past the first inch of travel it is absolutely fine even when it does stick.
Anyone know what this is? I am going to get my LBS to open them up and take a look but I though I would ask here first. No idea when they were last serviced mind but this only started halfway through Saturday (also halfway through a race but it helped on the road to the uplift at least
