Bit of a dodgy translation: http://translate.google.co.uk/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.eltiempo.com%2Fdeportes%2Fciclismo%2Fme-va-bien-o-regreso-a-casa-mauricio-soler_8820805-4&sl=es&tl=en&hl=&ie=UTF-8
Bit of a non article I grant you, but potentially could he be a dark horse for the Tour maybe if things go well? I for one think he could give A. Schleck, Basso etc. a run for their money in the mountains.
Certainly be good to see him at least performing well in the likes of the Pais Vasco, Dauphine or the Vuelta; or the Giro if he tackles it.

Good climber but one of the worst bike handlers in the peleton.
Likely to hit the deck at some point.

I think "likely" is an understatement.

 yes fair points, still I think he still poses a potential threat.

Indeed he does - to the tarmac.

Should take bets on who comes off the most between Soler and Menchov :)

The guy is the equivalent of a muppet on a bike (minus the strings holding him up...if that makes sense)...

You could well be right. I see Geox getting snubbed for the Giro, and Vuelta as well.

I think they'll be OK. There's not as many lower ranked Italian and Spanish teams as there are French.

It would be a shame if they were snubbed. Although Sastre is past his best, he's still a top 10 in the Giro or Vuelta, and who knows what Menchov can do?
