Question about my Rebound adjuster on Rockshox 3.1 Monarch??

How many times should this turn around? Currently it onlys turns a quarter (if that) and this requires significant effort just to do this.

This cant be right. It looks like there is thin wire wrapped around the inside of the red adjuster - i guess this is aprt of the mechansim?

Its a Boardman team FS, month and a bit old.

I want some ammo before i take it back to Halfords

My main question is: How will this get fixed - i need the bike for commuting so will they fix it or should replace the whole shock under warranty?? I dont have much faith in halfords stripping the shock down and re-building it - considering it is not straight forward I would imagine to fix.

Any answers / advice appreciated

Ryan

They won't strip it, they'll send it off to the Sram suppliers warranty centre.

They rang up the company who fixes the shocks under warranty (don't know who) and it appears that some mud/grit has got into the adjuster and caused it to jam and not move.

They removed some air and used a 2mm allen key in holes on the rebound adjuster and got it moving
