Shimano 5701 Uni directional Chain

Just got a new 10 speed Shimano 5701 chain. Apparently it is designed to be fitted to operate one way. How can I tell which plates are outside or inside.

Huh! Stumped eh? Will try it with the writing on the outside.

That's it, writing on the outside, should say so in the instructions also.
