Hi all,
I'm embarking on a cycling holiday to Majorca in April.

I currently have a Garmin Edge 800 with the Europe City Navigator. The maps available for Majorca with this are rather limited however...

Does anyone have any advice on what would be the best maps to take with me (and if I can get them on my Garmin)...

Cheers

  • Would you not be better trying the free OSM maps for a holiday

Hey me too in March with and same map.... I used a 705 with aforementioned maps last year and found them very detailed (same level as the uk)

Can i ask what sort of extra detail are you looking for above and beyond? Off road/ topo etc?

Ahh, thats interesting. I went to the Garmin website here
    https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?pID=6299
to have a look at the City Navigator coverage in Spain. When I clicked on view map, and zoomed in on Majorca, it looked like only there was really terrible coverage (almost like the base maps with only the big main roads listed).

If Majorca has just as good coverage as the UK, I'm happy! (I use them in London and they are great)...
  • The coverage in Majorca is very detailed, if what you need is road mapping only. CN will be fine. I've used it in just about every country covered - the detail in some really obscure places is amazing.
