Suspension set up?

I went too pick up my new bike (Commencal meta 5.5) lastnight and whilst at the shop they said they would set up my front and rear shock for me whilst it's my first full suss but the rear feels slack (sag was around 40%) and the front is way too stiff (pump showed 165psi), i've had a play around today and got the feel a bit better but i'm wondering what would be the best pressures to run? I'm mostly riding trail centers at the minute but don't mind playing around on the rougher stuff occasionally. Oh my weight is about 13 1/2st

What if your dreams and fears existed in the same place? What if to get to heaven, you had to brave hell? What if everything you've ever wanted cost you everything you've ever achieved? Would you still go there?

The rear sag does sound too much and if I ran my forks at 165 psi I doubt I'd get any decent performance from them. Just play around with different pressures until you get the feeling you want from the bike.0 -
Thanks for your help i'll have a proper play around tomorrow and see where i get, like i said i'd got it something like today but i guess it's more a case of fine tuning now. With the pressure i had in the fork i was getting about 40mm of travel which is not much use on a 140mm forkWhat if your dreams and fears existed in the same place? Shops can't really set sus up without feedback, best is to experiment as above.0

I think you start with 25 to 30 percent sag front and rear.0
