Fork-juddering Shimano BR-550 cantilevers...need advice!
Hello,
I have a Dolan Multicross which I am happy with, apart from one thing...the fork-juddering caused by the front brake. It is a Shimano BR550.
I have switched to Kool Stop pads but it hasn't improved things really. It is so bad that I am thinking of buying a new frame that will take standard or long-drop calipers...I miss not being able to use my front brake with any degree of confidence!
As ever, any advice is very much appreciated.
All the best,
Simon.

have you checked your headset . juddering is often from the headset being lose . If thats ok check that the pads are lined up properly and that fixing bolts are tight.0

Can you toe-in the brake pads so the front of the pad hits the rim first? That usually solves fork judder in my experience.
The following article has some good tips too;

If your fork is drilled one of these will cure the judder. A common fault with carbon forks and cantis due to fork flex.0 -
