Hi,

A copuple of years back I cycled the canal from Llangollen to Storbridge in Bham. It's about 110 miles & took two days. B&B's can be found on route or just take a sleeping bag & bivi bag & crash out on the tow path. The miles are easy as apart from the locks it's all flat but much of it is grass so slow going. The pace was easy going with regular stops to rest & eat so if it takes three days then so be it, believe me I'm not fit.

Anyone interested in June - Summer 2011?

Alternatively there are much shorter routes taking a few hours for anyone interested?

Big advantage being flat, disadvantage being no idea where you are when out in the sticks.

  • If its the other way round I'll give it a go. I live not far from Stourbridge.
  • Hi,
Thought you would be better off finishing in Stourbridge as less hassle getting home after it.
