Look cleats

I love them but the rubber pads on the bottom wear away in too quick a time.. Are the cleat covers any good as part of my journey involved walking up a cobbled street or alternatively trying to cycle on the pavement up a one way street in order to get home which I don't like doing as it's a steep hill. I wish cleats were made out of a more durable material...

If you want to stick with Looks then yes, cafe covers are a good idea if you have to walk.0

You can, if you shop around, get the Look cleats without the rubber.

Nah, not at all apart from during those first 5 minutes before the rubber comes off, and even then the benefit is negligible I might notice the difference when walking on a polished floor.
If it's a problem walking, just stay on the bike more.
I stick to SPDs for the commute and keep the Looks for the weekend"Impressive break"

Unfortunately the bike locker is at one end of an underground car park with polished concreet floors and the lift is at the other. I need those rubber bits.
I find they cut up really quickly, but they last me a couple of months before they are completely gone.Mud - Genesis Vapour CCX
