Changing PM forks IS - brakes

Bought my mate a set of 2nd hand Toras to replace his Suntour xcrs, but didn't think to check the brake mounts. He has Magura Julies, running a 180mm(ish) rotor, which are PM but the Toras are IS, . Is there any way of swapping the mount but using the same rotor, ie not using a +20 jobbie? Options either way would be much appreciated, as my local bike shop tried to explain it to me but I didn't exactly get it...

The forks are definitely PM and the the brake caliper plugs straight on without an mount, so must be a PM caliper. Is there a mount that will let me swap it straight onto the IS forks?0

post mount calipers can be used on IS mounts quite easily, usually and adaptor likt the one above, although am sure nick will be able to confirm.Timmo.

have fun. sounds like you have one of maggies specials.
a standard post mount caliper when bolted directly to a post mount fork uses a 160mm disc
so you will be going up 20mm on the disc."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Seen these on superstar - would type 1 work without having to change the rotor? It says PM to IS F160, but thats all the info they have.

yes that should be fine with your caliper and rotor."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
