On the commute today I noticed I could here a rattle. When I got back, I span the rear wheel, and the rattle was still there. It's there when freewheeling or pedaling. I'm going to strip it down in a bit but, any ideas what's causing it?
It's cup and cone btw
Thanks
Pete

nothing should rattle even if broken, grease should be holding this in place.
Why would I care about 150g of bike weight, I just ate 400g of cookies while reading this?

  • well, I took the wheel out and was taking the cassette off to get to the hub (hadn't seen your posts) and I realised how easily the lockring came up so I put it back together and really tightened the lockring and all seems to be well. I'll really find out this morning.
