That is a properly nice bike!

I love the frame-one of the nicest ive seen for a while. Also, youve got the exact wheels on my wishlist!

Cheers mate, I've not had it off road yet hence the plastic pedals, waiting for some blade tape off my air tech mate to help protect the frame.

The AC/stans/supercomp combo are really light, you'll love them. I saved 900g over the stock XT/719 wheels, tubes & tyres. That's loads of weight saving where it matters.

If I can lose 2 stone off my gut, that'll be even better.

Pics don't do it justice tbf, it's really sloping and the frame shape is really swoopy. Just on the flat it feels much more direct than my Trek Fuel EX which I never really got on with, I think it will climb like Chris Bonnington circa 1975

Brakes feel awesome, much better than my experiences with Hope Mini Mono and Avid Elixir (they were sh1te). Bike just feels right when you sit on it, with 6" front & rear and only 26lb, it'll make a great all day bike I hope. I'll update with pics once it's muddied up.

I have the GT Force 1.0 and it's a great bike, really underated. I've made a few changes to mine too, Saint cranks and brakes, short Renthal stem and changed the XT/719 wheels to Hope Hoops Stan Flows.
I couldn't get on with the Fox Float forks on my Force so changed them to RS Lyrik solo airs and it's transformed the bike. The Fox forks are now on my Evil Soveriegn and they really suit it and love them on that frame yet I hated them on the GT.
  • Very nice man! Got some crazy tubes on there, but with the CF weaves they look really nice. Quite a nice spec, and a respectable weight too.

Do your pro pedal settings make any noticeable difference?

I've set it to 2 and you can tell a little difference but the suspension design eliminates most pedal bob. The only time you notice it is if you've left it on and hit some rough stuff as stiffens up the swingarm movement.

I'm convinced the design means you don't need platform damping. Just wondering why the different settings don't appear to make any difference on my shock. Maybe it will be more obvious once it's off road???
