Put these new tyres on last night with great difficulty. I just wondered if they will stretch and get easier to put back on if they puncture. I don't fancy that wrestling match on the roadside !!

Good news - they don't puncture very often.

Bad news - unlikley it will be easier at road side.

I had the same problem - don't particulary rate the tyre either - yes the puncture resistance is good - but thats negated by the fact - you are likley to be totally stuffed when you get one.

Don't roll very well ....and quite expensive (in that they don't offer much above rubino's IMO)
  • I found 23's really tight on my original Giant rims on initial fitment, but the good news found them much easier to fit after I removed one and then put it back on and it needed no lever action at all !

Once I upgraded to some handbuilts they fit without any hassle at all.

Yepp, I have a set that have been on/off wheels a few times and fitted them to some RS80s recently without even thinking about it being tough so they must stretch a bit. Figure the RS80s and the 6700s will be fairly similar in sizing, etc.

Tyres do get easier with use, but a lot comes down to technique too.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
