No, not in a dodgy way; was used as a visual aid by the Met Police.
Cycling south along the CS7 this morning past Clapham North station, and the traffic lights up ahead are red. Motorcyclist about 15-20 metres ahead of me decides he's going to cut into the cycle lane and go up the inside of the traffic waiting at the red light. He gets to the back of a bus and just as he's about to go up the left hand side of it he stops for no apparent reason, blocking the cycle lane completely. I roll up behind him and then realise why. A copper is standing in the cycle lane, pointing his finger at the motorcyclist and giving him an evil glare that'd burn a hole in the back of his helmet. He beckons the motorcyclist forward once the lights have turned green and just as I'm about to go past, the policeman tells me to stop as well (cue me thinking 'shite, what have a I done wrong?')
Policeman asks the motorcyclist "now, can you tell the difference between yourself and the gentleman to your right?"
Motorcyclist looks to his right and then replies "he's on a bicycle"
"and what vehicle are you on?"
"a motorbike"
"and do you know why the road beneath you is blue?"
"It's a cycle lane sir"
"now, as we've just established, you're not on a bicycle are you?"
"No"
Policeman then waves me on. Don't know what happened to the motorcyclist after that, but he didn't come past me after the traffic had cleared, so I'm sure the policeman kept him back and gave him a good talking to/ maybe a ticket.
That put me in a right good mood that did, well done to that police officer!

Funny story! I'm always so tempted to use that kind of sarcastic rhetoric whenever I see people in ASLs. But then I remember I'm not wearing a uniform.0 -

I only really see motorcyclists using the CS during heavy traffic. I mostly don't have a problem with it but I have see a few trying to bully the cyclists to get out of their way so they can progress faster. That isn't on.0

My thought's exactly! Nice to see the police taking notice though :-)
Does bug me when motorcyclists block routes that cyclist can use, I've not normally had this happen with cycle lanes but typically they'll block a gap that is wide enough for a bicycle (at least not a wide barred MTB/hybrid) to fit through.0
