Chainring Bolts

Right on a bit of a spending spree tonight, so got another question. Looking to go from 3 rings up front to 1, and therefore need some new chainring bolts. Would these be the correct ones? (as they are the narrow ones, and the ones I have on at the moment are too long to hold just one chainring)
Or would I be better to fit some washers to the ones I already have? (as this is something I read when searching about it earlier)
