Lakes riders Great Gable (spring time)

Anyone fancy hooking up for a round of Great Gable via the passes Black sail et al, fairly tough ride i would have thought tech with a lot of hike a bike, so if you fancy a bit of a mountain epic give us a shout. Live north of Newcastle but will happily meet in Lakes.

You mean the Seatoller/Honister/Warnscale/Scarth Gap/Black Sail/Wasdale/Sty Head/Seatoller route? I'd be up for it, been meaning to do it for ages but never got round to it. I think someone did a write-up of it in Singletrack a few months ago, they said it was very tough but definitely do-able.0

Just back from weekend walking in the Lakes, did Great Gable and Scafell Pike. Was a chap on his MTB at the top of Great Gable, heading down.... looked to be rather errrr tricky. But fair play to him...."Encyclopaedia is a fetish for very small bicycles"0

Had forgotten about this, looking to get over there as soon as the weather settles down, probably more like early may for me, have free time during the week, so it wouldn't have to be at weekend when it's totaly rammed with walkers..0
