Lbs and clothing

I was out today window shopping and It struck me that there is not that much choice of cycle clothing out on the high street. I went into my local Evans, Cycle Surgery and even some local bike shops.
So are we only left with online retailers which are probably cheaper but you cannot try the garments on before you buy. Plus if you do order the wrong size you have to faff about returning the items.
By the way i live in Birmingham.

Yeah it's a bit of a pain but understandable, most LBS simply just can't afford to keep a decent selection of kit (in a range of sizes) in stock. Spesh concept stores are good in this regard (assuming you like Spesh kit), other most places just seem to stock Endura or Altura with the odd bit of Assos in higher-end places. Ordering online and taking the risk about having to return is usually the way I go.0

What are you expecting when cycling is such a minority activity in the UK? In the nation as a whole there are probably only 4 or 5 'full-on' retail enterprises catering for the dedicated cyclist.0

It's the same when you're shopping for quidditch kit. Nightmare to find what you need in the right size.0

Presume you haven't tried Quidditch R Us in town? They stock a good range of sizes & colours. They always seem to be out of Invisibility Cloaks though. Odd that.0
