BB Removal Tool

Hi all
I've finally found a Chainset/Crankset for my bike which will use the same bottom bracket as the current BB on my bike.
I was just wondering, will I need a BB removal tool to remove the BB, or do I just leave that on and use a crank removal/fitting tool?
Quick help....I need to place my order

It depends what axle length the BB needs for the chainline you are after.0

do you want to or need to remove the BB? yes then yes a tool will be needed."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

I'm not sure, think the chainset is an old one, all it says is fits any square taper bottom bracket?
What would I need to swap the crank?0 -
Crank puller tool - they come in any of the cheap 20-25 quid bike tool kits.
Or if desperate a couple of blocks of wood and a mallet. but a puller is best and if you get the kit it normally comes with a conventional bb removal tool anyway.0 -
This was all covered in your previous topic, what's wrong with using that?0

Because this time I'm asking if the BB needs removing if I'm only replacing the chainset0
