If your after a new BB then you need a 68/73mm type.

Measure the bb shell, axle size depends on what chainset you are using and its recommended axle length to give the correct chainline.

the original BB was 68/113

or an X-type where it does not matter.

thanks people. i still have the original cranks and chainstay, im looking at getting a hope bb, but tbh its all confusing with the sizing (and im usually quite good with this kinda stuff).
