1250g isn't exactly light for a carbon frame with no headset or anything else, you can find aluminium frames below that. There are a few threads about these generic Chinese frames on this site.

Apologies if already been posted but, the thing to look for is flex in the rear chainstay. I believe it is also known as whip. I had a look at these frames and then sort advice from a friend ( ex pro ) and he advised me.

    What exactly was his advice?

Very sensible advice and often forgotten when love [lust] is a factor.

ha ha! stay clear basically, if you can take the rear wheel out of a carbon frame and try to squash together the rear stays, if they hardly move good frame.

A rep came to there shop with far eastern frames and they chose not to go with them and went for a supplier from belgium which were much better quality.

I was told of a well known brand using these frames and it swayed my choice anyway.

Hope the choice is easier for you.

    Hong Fu from China.
  • John C - The frame in that link be one of them fancy Pinarello's, but without the £800 paint job.

And talk about 'flexing of chainstays' is just plain misguided. Who do you think these Chinese companies sell their thousands of units they make each year to?

Ask the Chinese seller if their frames are tested to EN standards, and ask the seller to say which one.

Currently down in price, but why they can't be bothered to include a seatclamp, a braze on fitting for the front mech and (by the looks of it) even barrel adjusters on downtube is bewildering. It just smacks of niggardly treatment of customers.
Other rival outfits churning out rebranded frames in a like manner CAN be bothered so there's no excuse.

Planet-X, so-named because their frames come from Xpace Industrial in China, finest purveyors of cheap frames!

Xspace have some nice frames on their site, from around 820g. That's a lot better than the 1250g ebay frame plus this lot look like they know what they're doing:
