Broke cheap chain tool, destroyed expensive chain, need new chain tool and chain.
Lesson learnt.

Can't you just put a SRAM or KMC link in the chain to replace the one you damaged?More problems but still living....0

'tis the plan actually. Hoping my lesson has only cost me a couple of quid for the sram link and £7.50 wasted on a crappy chain tool.0 -
Not sure my Tesco value one (yes really) cost that much. Works fine.0

I paid £3 on ebay (including delivery) about two years ago, never had a problem with it0

Have used cheap ones in the past, but I've been using a Park chain tool for years now........... lesson learned !Science adjusts it’s beliefs based on what’s observed.

Beware of those made from cheap cast metal. I broke mine whilst attempting to repair a snapped chain miles from home in below freezing conditions, the casting snapped in half! I think the low temperature made it brittle.
Just bought a Topeak one, seems a lot better.http://www.strathspey.co.uk - Quality Binoculars at a Sensible Price.
