Chainset, what do I need?

I have a giant revel 3 with a cheapo suntour chainset on it. Its looking a bit rubbish and I want to replace it. Will any triple square taper chainset do or are there any specs/sizes I need to be aware of?

    you will need to get one to match the axle length of the BB, unless you are changing that as well. Where you will need a matching BB for the cranks.

    I take it that means the overall length of the axle from tip to tip with the crankset off?
