Hope 10mm bolt up or standard QR??

Looking at purchasing a new rear wheel, its a Hope Pro2 hub, offered with either a standard QR rear axle or a 10mm Bolt up.
Whats the advantage of a 10mm bolt up? I assume it stiffens the back end up a bit? (which would be ideal)
My Orange Patriot obviously has QR drop outs and it used used for DH so the stiffer the better....
Whats the opinions on this?
cheers

the bolt up has the Qr hole threaded so you can use bolts or a Qr.
cost was the same when i got my bolt up years ago.
it does stiffen the rear up a bit."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Cheers Nick,
Any problems known with the Bolt up?....0 -
in what way? it is no different to a QR hub. you might strip the threads but...."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Do they stay tight?... My QR's are quite good, just a little flexy....0

cant say as i have a bulbs none of this new hope stuff.
but mine were/are fine. but you can always fit a qr if needed."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Thanks Nick, i didnt realise you could use both options!0

Would on of the 10mm bolt through axles from superstar be a bit stiffer than a 10mm bolt-up, and still fit in the qr dropouts?0

As far as i can see Superstar only do 12mm bolt through axles, plus id need another conversion.0

well it would not fit the bolt up hub.
the 10mm bolt through hub is something different."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

my bolt up in place. (looks the same at both ends).

Remember that if you change your mind all you have to do is change the axle, which is a 10 minute/£20 job and pretty simple. So don't obsess too much.
I can't feel any difference in stiffness between my 10mm bolt-in (with Superstar 10mm QR) and my 10mm bolt-ins, but then I can barely feel any difference between them and the QR either and the wheels are built different.Uncompromising extremist0 -
