Hope BB and GXP adapters with SRAM Red?

Hi, I have a Truvativ GXP BB with SRAM Red cank, and the bearings are shot- does anyone have any experience of the Hope BB and GXP adapter? Is this suitable for Road or is it MTB only? Also, if anyone ever used one this way- is the life better than the Truvativ / SRAM BB's? Any knowledge greatfully received before I shell out my cash :-)

    it will work with a Road crankset. Just be aware the threaded parts are longer than some Road BB cups.

    Use this on all three road bikes, with the Hope road BB. I did find when swapping from a force crankset to a red I had to add a spacer on the non drive side between the frame and BB to get the bearing loading correct.

    Good solution better than the Sram BB.
