0% is ok as long as you're not paying over the odds for the bike in the 1st place.

If it's a sale bike at 0% it could work out a good deal.

Is it a pay monthly deal or one where you have to pay the whole lot in one go at the end.

I prefer the former... only from the aspect that if you fail to pay the lump sum option by the final date you get locked into paying for the goods at 25 - 30% APR. The finance company bets on a % of customers not having sufficient funds to pay the lump sum.

  • its a pay monthly gig, normal credit, no balloon I think, its applied to the sale bikes too, so could work out ok

Sounds good... especially applying to sale bikes. Most 0% deals I've seen normally apply to full priced bikes.

Most 0% deals are fine, the only draw back is that you can't really negotiate on the price or buy sale bikes as they are typically for full RRP goods only.

A fiance will cost you a lot more than £2500 over time, even if they're advertising as 0%.

Blimey... big question. What sort of riding do you do? XC? DH? or canal towpath ;-)

Do you want a hardtail...? full suss? 29er?

Wish I was in your dilemma.

Take a look at the Trek Fuel Ex 8. Great bike (biased, I have one  )

The Top Fuel is a better race bike though.

They're all pretty damn good bikes in that clearance list at Rutland.

TBH... I think you'd be happy with any one of them as they are all more than capable. If it was me I'd see if I could get a test ride on them all to see which one felt the best. You don't want to drop £2k on a bike only to find it doesn't just feel right after a couple of rides.

or at least sit on each one to see if they fit you right.

    Everyone welcome...

And (assuming you are genuine) a warm welcome to the forums. We're not all cynical old b'stards. :-)
