What CX brakes

Ok so I know this has probably been asked a million times, but I've just got myself a specialized tricross frame and want to get some good brakes, ive read in various places that some brakes are terrible.
Ive just looked at some planet x bollox and tektro mini v's!
What are peoples thought on these brakes, the planet x bollox's are on offer at £20 a pair which seems a bargain??? Don't think the mini v's are much more
Bear in mind this bike I'm building is going to be more of a commuter than an all out cross racer, it'll be taken off onto the odd bridleway etc etc.
Regards
Scott

The planet X ones are pretty powerful, but kind of fiddly. I've used them on my Tricross for a year or so, and overall I like them. The pads they come with are crap though.Summer - Colnago C40

Thanks PeteMadoc for the link - this forum is dying under too many repeat threads.

Not to pick on you but many folks are sheit at using search. They don't understand that there are not frankly that many permutations and combinations of the same cycling query.
Would be good overall to get more thoughts on mini v brakes that actually worked. With arms in the 80 to 85mm range...When a cyclist has a disagreement with a car; it's not who's right, it's who's left.0
