So he has been sacked after another clip of him being all macho and stuff magically appears from thin air after his bosses decided to suspend him for a week. The fact that he works for a News International owned company and the fact he is suing News of the World (an International News company) has nothing to do with this?

  • Not denying that. Can't stand the guy myself. I just don't like what's happening here (not that I liked the comments he came out with...just find this all very suspicious)

you're not the first to say he's an absolute first class **** he's got a rep for it, and i hated his commentary and style from day one, but Monteovideodeomon isn't far off the mark either, give em enough rope etc etc etc . not that i care.

I don't think its a stitch up though, I think when you compare it to the comments of Ron Atkinson a few years ago, his dismissal was inevitable really in the end. I think Richard Keys possibly survived as he seemed to just nod and agree largely, and many people do that with things they don't agree with just because they cant be bothered getting into a row.

I think irrespective of him suing NOTW he'd have been hounded out

It's a severe reprimand and suspension at the max if you're on a white list. On a black list and treading on the wrong toes and it's grounds for going in this bullshit pc climate we have today, it's how it goes.
  • Hmmm I've seen a lot of people compare it to the Big Ron thing but we have two separate companies with two separate disciplinary policies. They had already decided to suspend them for a week. At that point a new clip emerges (from "nowhere").

Don't get me wrong. I think he should have been punted for the remarks that were made but if I was a News International employee I'd be more scared than ever to ever go against my employers (if even legally justified).

The atmosphere in the studio will be fantastic as well as I'm sure most people won't know who obtained the recording.

perfectly valid take on things given the background and who's involved. and get yourself black listed by treading on the wrong toes and most places you'll find your way heading toward the bottom of the pile on the way to being jettisoned.

He also described her as "a bit of a looker". Obviously he's not fit to commentate if his eyes are that bad

I've heard it was lucky that she even turned out on Sat'. She was deeply upset when she found out she'd be wearing the same outfit as her colleagues.

Dont like the guy at all but dont think he should have been sacked.

Any guy's had the misfortune of seeing Loose Women in the day time? Whats the difference between them slagging of guys all day every day, and what Andy said?!

Dont see the point of bringing women in to Football, if they want to ref/linesman then do it in the womens game. How long will it be before women will want to start playing amongst men?

Andy Gray has got Angry Birds on his phone, but not the popular gaming app
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

Yeah, bloody hell, they'll want the vote next!

If women were allowed to play in the same team as men, and if women were better than some male players then they'd get a place in the team wouldn't they. And what would be wrong with that?

As long as no-one is forced to play in a certain team, to fit a quota for example, then it wouldn't be a problem, and it would be a case of the best players being picked.

As for the lineswoman, she was chosen because she's a perfectly good official. That's all that matters.

But ITV is not trying to get more men (if there is any) to watch Loose Women.... on the other hand, the FA and Sky are trying to get more female to involve in watching/playing/reffering in football, so they will act on it quicker and harder.

never like the guy as he talks shite all the time.

back to the OP, i have a feeling that the twat want a pay rise and Sky been trying to find a way to cut him loose..

I suggest reading up on Perugia and Luciano Guacci if you want a laugh.
I see now a clip has appeared about Richard Keys again... the conspirators are trying to make it look less obvious

I don't normally buy into conspiracy theories but when it comes to Rupert Murdoch companies anything is possible

Apparnetly Keys has resigned today. I've seen the 'other' vid on youtube. Referring to a female of some description, he asked his colleagues if they'd 'smash it'.

NEver liked him. Again, I think he's well known ofr being a knob

I would suggest it will never even be on the table. It has never been an issue in any other sports where athletic ability is the defining element.
You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.

  • Sepp Blatter is a douche but he did have one good idea... women's football would be better if they all wore tighter tops.

    Have a read at this:
