Service - Tools advice

Hi,
Currently in need of servicing my bike. I have identified that the main things I need to do are to clean the hub bearings and to do this I have cone wrenches, but also need a chain whip and some sort of told to get the rear cassette off. In addition I want to service and clean the bottom bracket, I believe I have a Shimano BB-UN26, is this sealed unit easier to simply replace, would there be an upgrade to that part, and how do I get it off?
Also can anyone recommend any grease/lube for forks, I think mine need some lubrication

have a read of Parktools it lists some kits and also lists what tools are needed for what job.
un26 is not serviceable."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Yep normal spanners. Cone spanner, Cassette tool, chain whip.
Wouldn't bother with the BB tool - it's sealed so when bust it's bust and will need replaccement then. When that happens perhaps you'll got HTII so the tool would be one use and you'll the an LBS job of facing the BB shell, so don't think about that until the BB fails.
Forks? In what way do you mean lubrication?0 -
Well my forks squeek a little when depressing, I figured i should put some lube on the foam rings and make sure its clean.
So basically because the BB is sealed there is no value in replacing it until it breaks, what about cleaning it, is there no value in that?0 -
You can't clean the internals of a sealed BB (in general). You could, clean up the screw fixings, but that's not going to help.
What are your forks - how do they make the noises/areas it's coming from?0 -
Rock Shox Tora SL Coil 100ml, They just sort of make a squeek sort of noise when they depress0
