Bash ring

Ok, I have searched the forum and Google so I am now asking here.

I have Shimano Deore hollotech THREE (3) rings on the front and 9 on the casette, making 27 gears, however, can anyone offer any advice as to where I may get a bash ring, no I don't want to file off the teeth from the larger ring, or replace it with a bash ring, or go to Halfords for a cheap c&^££* plastic ring.

Problem is, if you look at my setup the bolts are on the edge, whereas these are further in, thanks anyway.

Doesn't matter. Take off the crap thin plastic ring, find the direction called away, and throw it there. The Blackspire ring uses the normal chainring mounting holes, which the chainrings are already mounted to.

as chris says you do not have a bash fitted. it is just a trouser shield.

Yes this is why I want to fit a bash ring, I ride off road as well so want something stronger

Well as my bike is used every day seven days a week, I want it to be comfortable, and apart from lights and a horn there is nothing else on it.

Oh none taken, you will find old people like me like comfort, oh and I have just spoken to chainreaction who say this bash ring replaces the larger gear ring on the bike which is not what I want to do, I want to keep all the rings and ADD a bashring, so back to square 1.

Thinking of making one from alloy.

CRC are wrong, usually bash guards do replace the outer, but this one doesn't.

Alternatively go to your lbs and buy a full chain guard.

Thanks I will get this, and try it and if they are wrong then I will make sure they know, as they may have told other people the same thing.
