ok, bit of a newbie when it comes to being a bike mechanic. I've just bought a travel bag for my Top Fuel 9 and it JUST fits, with a lot of encouragement and I'm not happy with how tight it is around the derailleur . I just wondered whether I could release all the air out of the forks (SID race) and compress them so it takes up less space (and avoid me having to take the bars off). Is this something that people do?

sure. just make sure you know your settings.

but i would be removing the dérailleur as a matter of cause.
